1738: Handel, A Year in the Life

This Fringe festival programme for ESB presents all the major works composed by Handel in one year. I copied the numbers for 1738 from a church wall in Austria, and threaded other Baroque bits and pieces through them for the cover. The idea was to catch viewers' attention and make them want to know the significance of the date enough to pick it up. Each concert then has an mini illustration which was carried through onto the programmes. We made the brochure small enough to fit in a festival go-er's wallet to encourage them to hang onto it and check out further concerts in
the series.
